Lauren M. Holton

Lauren M. Holton was born in Albany, Georgia and grew up in Lee County. She graduated summa cum laude from Emory University in 2004, and then attended The University of Georgia School of Law, receiving her J.D., cum laude, in 2007. Ms. Holton was a member of the Moot Court Board and the Honor Council Hearing Panel; she was also the recipient of the 2007 William King Meadow Award. She joined Lee Durham, LLC, upon graduation from law school.
Mrs. Holton's practice is largely devoted to litigation, with an emphasis on medical malpractice and personal injury. She also focuses on banking law, primarily creditor representation.
She is a member of the Dougherty Circuit and American Bar Associations and the State Bar of Georgia. She is also licensed to practice in the State of Alabama, having been admitted to the Alabama Bar in 2008. Ms. Holton has held a seat on Theatre Albany's Board of Directors, serving as its President in the past. She was selected to participate in Leadership Albany Class of 2009, and in 2010, she was named one of the Southwest Georgia's "40 under 40." Ms. Holton is a volunteer for the Georgia High School Mock Trial Competition and has served as the regional coordinator for Region 1 since 2011.
